Garden lush with planting in early August
Family Garden, Wymondham
This family garden
has gradually been transformed from a boring expanse of lawn into several areas with differing funtions.
A decked area leads out from the house surrounded by raised beds which double as seating. A converted coal shed now functions as a potting shed and wood-store with a green roof planted with Sedums.
Following on from this, we have a vegetable & flower growing area with raised beds made from sleepers and wooden pallets. A hazel arch leads to a circular lawn area for the children to play on flanked by mixed borders with year-round interest.
A timber arch with a removable swing leads to a bark-covered utility area housing 2 sheds, a tree house, compost bins and an outside office.
